NameJet

I tried going through the NameJet process to purchase an expiring domain, but wasn't very impressed with the system. Everything seemed designed to just make the price go up more. I didn't see a way to buy without an auction either. Are there any tips to getting a good domain there without the price going sky high?

What think? With the state the economy is in and the way it's headed, a lot of families and companies are scaling back. I'm thinking this might be attractive to staffing or management consultants or for any site that deals with financial downsizing and getting by in a tough economy.

Where should I be advertising? (ISP-Planet)

Recent Articles No Comments »
The answer is different for every business; heck, you may advertise your T-1s one way and your webhosting a completely different way. It will depend on what you are trying to sell, your market area, and it will even to an extent depend on what your competition is doing.

What’s a good way to build traffic and sales?

Recent Articles No Comments »
I have a friend who had a book published and I'm trying to help him reduce his inventory (he has a few hundred of each book).

Traffic to the site is steady but very few sales, I've incorperated the ability to pay though PayPal and I've also listed them on Amazon.com.

Sales are still very low.

Any suggestions on how to boost relevant sales? I've contacted some relevant sites but none seem interested in some advertising revenue.

I've been debating offering DNF$ for Diggs, linkbacks, and so on but I'm not sure how it would affect the site. I'm sure traffic would take a very short term jump but that's it.

The site is a wordpress blog, I ask him for frequent updates but he doesn't have too much time to write articles.

Any other suggestions? Funds are very low now. I've thought about Ad Words but, again, very little in the means of funds right now and I've heard horror stories about people's bills going from $10-$30 a month to over $12,000.
