Following an order of a German court, forcing DENIC, the registry operator of the .DE ccTLD to register the two letter domain vw.de, DENIC has now announced that they will open up registration for almost all formerly restricted domains on October 23rd as of 9am CET. The registry says that they have made this decision after talking to other registries that did not have the same restrictions as well as after conducting a number of technical tests.The domains will be registered on a first come first served basis and will be available through DENIC accredited registrars
